She’d like to see how they’d react to her, the capitol people - of course, only if she didn’t have to win their respect and admiration. She could do that by being herself, by being naturally odd and having something off about her, but she couldn’t do it to their faces. That would only cause their fear. They’d want them dead, then. She could still control them, but she’d have to do it in a different way.
As long as none of them got the cute idea to touch her.
An orange bounced along the stairs and she grabbed at it as it flailed past her. A blonde brow raised and she tilted her head to the side, almost reptilian.
“Do we have something against oranges?” Her voice was child-like but somehow her speech wasn’t, and it was part of what made her appear creepy. She liked that, being the enigma. “Or,” She tilted her head to the side again, watching the girl sitting on the edge. “Is it just something against this particular orange? Does he scare you?” She tapped her fingers on it.
Marigold looked at her like a lioness might look at prey. “I’m not going to eat their disgusting food. I’m from the districts and I’m damn proud.” she growled as if it was something obvious. She had forced her cooks for the past few days to make things that she would eat back at home, she didn’t care if Boone fell into the Capitol trap along with the mentors and stylists, she wasn’t going to. Besides, gaining any weight would be the end of her. She had nimbleness and agility on her side, the ability to climb trees like a squirrel and jump from branch to branch. A few pounds more what just make life so much harder for her and definitely bring on the end way too quickly.
Looking away from Darling she returned her gaze to the city skyline, letting her feet hang from the ledge. Maybe if the force field wasn’t there to stop her she would jump, but then again maybe she wouldn’t. “What are you doing on the roof anyway? Don’t you have some training to attend to?” she asked clearly annoyed with her presence. Next thing you know they were going to end up throwing a big tribute party on the roof and everyone was going to crowd up her favorite space.
